Our bus partnership has been shortlisted for the ‘Partnership for Excellence’ category at the UK Bus Awards.

We are delighted to announce our nomination in the 2024 UK Bus Awards under the ‘Partnership for Excellence’ category.

The OBEP showcases the strength of collaboration in the bus industry by uniting county councils, bus operators, district councils, bus user groups, hospitals, and universities to enhance bus services. Together, we have made Oxford the UK's leading city for electric bus usage per capita. We have introduced innovative ticketing options like MyBus Oxfordshire, the first county-wide multi-operator scheme, invested in service and facilities at Park & Ride sites, and introduced around 50 new or improved services since 2020.

Luke Marion, Managing Director at Oxford Bus Company, and Chris Hanson, Managing Director at Stagecoach West, said:

"The OBEP demonstrates the willingness of all partners to lead the way on the delivery of customer-oriented solutions, the partnership is an enabler for projects to move from conception to delivery with a hands approach across all departments. We have achieved so much in a reasonably short stretch of time; we know, however, this is only the start and believe that we have the correct grounding to deliver more for the future.”

The presentation ceremony will be held later this year. Regardless of the outcome, efforts to improve bus services in Oxfordshire and meet our BSIP goals continue.
